Scrapbook Saturday

When I started scrapbooking almost 7 years ago, I fell in love with it right away because it combined writing with photography. It's a way of telling your story, your way. With this layout, I left it simple. I let the pictures tell the story and kept my journalling at a minimum. I embossed the pink cardstock with gold embossing powder just to make it pop. With the title, I once again used the Big Shot die cutting machine and instead of using cardstock, I used a page from an old map to add a little something new to the traditional layout. What I like to tell people who are starting to scrapbook is this: there is no right or wrong way to scrapbook. It's YOUR STORY. How you do it is all up to you.

Hey Neeky!
Actually those are stamps that I got as a hostess last year. Stampin' Up came up with them as a free gift. Watch for the new catalogue that comes out next month to see what goodies they came up.
