Hey!
I was still in a scrapbook state of mind since Saturday so I wanted to do another layout. This has taken me until today to finish. My printer isn't working for me to print out some pictures that I had wanted so I was forced to dig through my stash and find this picture of me. I think I was 9 years old? I didn't think I would write something so personal but it just came out of me so either I put a flap on the journalling or leave it bare - I just have to decide.
What I wanted to do was stamp solely by markers. That means that instead of stamping an image in an ink pad, I would colour the image with Stampin' Write markers. I used the In Colours (item #119801 - $19.95 for 5) on the Elements of Style (item #118611 $33.95 for wood and item #120045 $24.95 for clear). I love this stamp set because it is so pretty to work with. For the title, I used the Schoolbook Serif Alphabet (item #113510 $53.95 and it's double mounted wood) which I believe is on the retired list. I think a good alphabet set is an ideal thing to have for scrapbook pages. Makes titles stand out more. I also used the Circle Circus stamp set (item 115778 wood only $35.95) for embellishments and framed the picture usind retired ribbon that I found on the Clearance Rack (and is still there - item #110108 Theater Ribbon Orginals - 5 ribbons in one package $6.19 for 10 yards). Never underestimate the Clearance Rack!
I really do like the look that markers give a project - it's different than using a stamp pad but it's all preference.
Hope you enjoy it!I'm still working on Ta Da! Tuesday....
