"Morning Cup" - Ta Da! Tuesday

Happy Tuesday! I have been trying to come up with something that will amaze and inspire you. What a lunch box disappointment you're going to have today! I tried something new but the image in my head didn't match the final product. And there are going to be days like that. Sometimes you're not trying to invent the wheel, you just want to put something out there that's new.

I used the "Morning Cup" stamp set (Item #116988 wood $26.95 or item #120489 clear $20.95). Now this is my favourite stamp set because I'm a tea granny and anything to do with tea, my name is on there! What I wanted to do was make a table and then have the tea kettle, the cup and the tea bag hovering over it. I used one of the Big Shot's Clearlits (Scallop Rectangle #118872 $10.50) to make that rectangle cut out - to resemble a table. I used staples for table legs and then used ribbon (retired but any ribbon would do) as the tablecloth.

As I said, the image in my head and the final product doesn't quite match. But I posted it to prove a point: I'm not an expert. Sometimes you have to fool around with products and tools to see how things work. Could I make this card better? Absolutely. And that's what learning is all about. It's taking those "not-so-great" moments and learning how to make it better.

But I open it up to you. What do you think? How should I have done this better?
