Lean on Me - December 1st

Happy December 1st - how did we get so close to the end of the year?

I wanted to share with you a card I recently made for my friend who is going through a difficult time right now.  The stamp that I used is from the "Lean on Me" stamp set ($19.95 for clear mount) which I really love because it's the kind of stamp set that you can use to cheer a friend up or to just the person know that you're thinking of them.  Here's what it looks like:

I colored in the image with Stampin' Up Watercolor Pencils and then used a Scallop Trim Border punch on the Whisper White cardstock that I stamped the image on.  The buttons are retired.  The Ballet Blue (also retired) cardstock was put through the Big Shot with a embossing folder called "Stripes" which really gives it such as classic look.  It's a simple card yet it packs a punch.  This card hardly took any time at all - everything came together in minutes.  What do you think of it?
